Who am i?
Hi,
I'm Jennie.
Welcome to Patchwork Play!
As I explain to children who come to see me, "I get to play for my job, in ways that can help figure out big feelings."
My experience over the last number of years has allowed me to work as part of the multi - disciplinary team for one of Irelands leading foster agencies.
I also run a private practice in Dublin's northwest inner city.
And I am fortunate to be able to support parents and carers nation wide through online support services.
I invite you to explore the content here and I hope it offers some insight around the types of services I offer to parents, children and community setting agencies.

What is my passion?
I love what I do, I love sharing about what I do and seeing it make positive changes in the lives of the children and families that engage in the service.
I am passionate about connecting children to the significant adults in their lives, be it parents, teachers, community workers or social workers.
By helping adults to understand that ALL behaviour is communication, adults can be supported to find more meaningful ways to respond to a child who is struggling, avoid power struggles and build positive relationships.
I also believe that when a child comes to engage in therapy, they come not to meet the therapist, but to meet themselves.
How can I help?
Parents & Children
With the understanding that every child and family is unique, I offer a range of therapeutic services to meet the individual needs of the children and parents who engage in these service.
Community setting services
Prevention and Early intervention is at the heart of
all the community services I offer.
With an emphasis on strengthening protective factors against Adverse Childhood Experiences
(ACEs) for children, all CPD training delivered as well as parenting workshops and evidenced based parenting programs are ACEs informed.
